Network Access Control Engineer :
- Plan, design, and deploy network access control policies using Aruba ClearPass (formerly Hewlett Packard Enterprise Aruba ClearPass) ensuring alignment with organizational security and operational requirements
- Integrate ClearPass with existing network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless controllers, and security systems
- Configure and test policies for user and device authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) including 802.1X, RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service), TACACS+ (Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System Plus), and guest access management
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for ClearPass-related issues, including policy enforcement, device onboarding, and network connectivity problems
- Monitor ClearPass performance, apply updates, and optimize configurations to ensure reliability and scalability
- Work with network engineers, security teams, and system administrators to support broader IT initiatives and ensure seamless integration
- Maintain detailed documentation of ClearPass configurations, policies, and procedures for operational continuity and compliance
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and end-users on ClearPass features
- Configure and manage firewall policies to protect network perimeters and internal segments
- Integrate and troubleshoot firewall policies with NAC (Network Access Control) and other security platforms
- Implement authentication protocols and endpoint compliance checks
- Monitor network security, analyze logs, and respond to incidents in collaboration with the security team
Required Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications) :
- Hands-on experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager for network access control implementation and management
- Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies including RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, and AAA frameworks
- Experience with directory services including LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and Active Directory integration
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network access issues across diverse environments
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs) and security standards
- Experience with firewall products for network access control and security policy enforcement
- One or more of the following certifications: Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA), Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP), or equivalent networking/security certifications
- Knowledge of enterprise security standards and compliance requirements
- Experience with additional ClearPass features like Onboard and OnGuard
- Understanding of other Aruba solutions such as AirWave or Aruba Central
- Scripting or automation experience with Python or PowerShell for managing ClearPass configurations
