CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

Responsible for leading and managing the sales and underwriting process while achieving targeted business plan goals on a national level. This role involves overseeing broker consultants, driving business growth, and ensuring efficient operations. It also includes developing business strategies and providing technical guidance to internal teams, ensuring high service levels and compliance.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB  Achieve targeted sales and underwriting Drive business growth and retention through effective Contribute to the development of business Provide technical underwriting support and coaching to Implement and contribute to the business Analyze and report on business Manage relationships with internal and external Lead and develop broker consultants and ensure staff training in required technical QUALIFICATIONS BCom degree or equivalent qualification FAIS Minimum of 5 years of technical expertise in AIISA / ACII qualification is an added PREFERRED EXPERIENCE  Experience in the South African insurance/re-insurance Expertise in underwriting principles and performance Strong understanding of statutory and legislative Experience with financial services and compliance KNOWLEDGE  In-depth knowledge of underwriting, insurance, and re-insurance Strong understanding of Clients compliance Expertise in sales, underwriting targets, and best Proficient in using relevant IT Excellent communication and interpersonal NOTE  Travel on a national basis is a requirement of the
