The Strategic Account Manager will play an integral part in the continual development and direction of the Wholesales Sales (WS) B2B strategy. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for strategically managing our large enterprise customers while applying creative solutions and managing ResMed’s portfolio of Sleep Disordered Breathing products. With a consultative sales approach, you will lead with business value and engage in both new and existing opportunity’s. Supported by a broad functional team, you will manage a defined customer base across Australia. Your territory will include some of ResMed’s largest customers and clients.
The Strategic Account Manager is the primary client contact for National Account’s field management team and individual business units. This individual provides management and strategic direction for ResMed’s sales organization, clinical, customer service, and marketing departments by performing the following duties.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities:
Manage designated accounts and solidify business relationships at the national, regional, and local levels as appropriate to ensure ResMed products and services are vital parts of the account’s business and revenue-generating plans.Elicit external and internal feedback from the accounts, sales, commercial, and operational departments to identify customer and market needs.Assess opportunities to develop/create programs for our customers that support business growth.Develop sales goals for each account, forecast quarterly sales, and identify trends.Generate and analyze the intelligence necessary to communicate solid direction and leadership to the sales force related to your accounts.Transition your portfolio to a less experienced staff member, providing coaching for the first 6 months, while also supporting the career development of a sales associate.Assist the Head of Sales with coaching, mentoring, and addressing complex business matters, particularly within the provider channel, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Manage internal channel conflict across all provider businesses, ensuring the best outcomes for ResMed, even in cases where the account may not be categorized as a strategic account.Maintain accurate account information in Salesforce, ensuring all interactions, sales activities, and marketing efforts are properly documented. Use data to track performance and provide regular updates on progress toward business goals.Effectively manage an assigned budget for cost efficiency.Provide high-level corporate presentations to customer executives and internal teams.Maintain a high knowledge level of existing tools, services, and programs designed to support our partners in the marketplace. Collaborate internally to create new tools, if needed.Maintain knowledge of reimbursement environments affecting customer product lines, including non-ResMed services.Identification and development of new channel accounts/relationships.Implement processes and activities to achieve the company’s strategic planExcellence in all forms of communication.
Lets talk about Qualifications and Experience:
Seven years of successful medical sales experience or equivalentPrior top-ranked Medical / Business to Business Sales / Management, experience is highly preferredMotivated individual with demonstrated execution and results focus and accountability for continuous self-improvement along with an ability to act with a sense of urgency in all pursuitsExperience using Salesforce (SFDC) or a similar CRM platformAbility to travel as necessary to achieve results
