Your Role The National Sea Logistics Trade Manager (ISC & APAC) is responsible for the successful implementation, management, and review of the pricing and trade activities within South Africa specifically Asia-Pacific. This includes growing market share on core trades and increasing gross profit through effective pricing and pricing models. Your Responsibilities

 

Work\r\n closely with Network Trade/Product Managers to ensure that competitive\r\n pricing is used to secure key opportunities.Liaise\r\n closely with sales functions such as key accounts, field sales and\r\n internal sales, and ensure that feedback is provided for each opportunity.Ensure\r\n all national and branch tariffs are updated and available on the various\r\n platforms for accurate and efficient quoting specific to Asia - pacific\r\n trades.Review\r\n RFQs for all must-win/key bids before final submission.Ensure\r\n proper engagement is happening with relevant stakeholders for must win/key\r\n opportunities.Liaise\r\n closely with Trade Managers to ensure market info is available for\r\n internal and external use.Negotiate\r\n directly with suppliers where necessary to obtain the best possible\r\n pricing for specific enquiries.Work\r\n towards achieving volume and gross profit targets.Participate\r\n in joint visits and presentations to customers as required.
Your Skills and Experiences

 

Advanced level of computer literacy (especially Excel).Proven ability to be part of a team and collaborate across departments.A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sea freight, sales, and/or trade development.Good customs knowledge in the South African environment.Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.Proven verbal and written communication skills in English & Chinese.
