Responsibilities
The Accounting Technician Intern responsibilities include assistance with AR, monthly billings, account analysis, and assistance with other accounting tasks.
The Accounting Technician Intern position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Accounting Manager.
Assists with receiving and coding Accounts Payable invoices.
Aids with entering financial transactions and reviewing accounts to ensure that the entries are suitable and balance out.
Liaises with other employees in the field and writing reports.
Enters, revises, sorts, calculates and creates tables using Microsoft Excel and other databases.
Identifies account discrepancies and attempts to address any upcoming issues or areas of concern.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.”.
Must be currently enrolled in college or technical/vocational school.
Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accounting or related degree seeking program.
The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times while displaying a professional disposition.
Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Be at least 18 years of age.
High school graduate or GED.
Must be a US Citizen or show proof of right to work in the US.
Must be able to obtain airport badge with US Customs clearance.
Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Demonstrated ability to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.
Extensive computer skills (familiarity with MS Word and Excel along with on-line banking software).
Must be able to operate calculators and PC keyboards by touch.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlines are met.
Results oriented with the ability to respond to the needs of the department and Company.
Sufficient reasoning abilities to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
It also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior administrative experience.
Operating company administrative experience.
Excel, Costpoint, Quickbooks Experience.
Language Skills:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Math skills:
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
Reasoning Abilities:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone console.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Compensation: depending on class level or experience.
