The N922 Threat Mitigation Department is seeking a Department Administrator & NSEC Site Administrator for MITRE Australia position for our department and leadership team. The Threat Mitigation Department manages, guides, and directs 30 staff-years of technical and domain-specific work focused on enhancing the nation’s counterintelligence and insider threat efforts at the strategic level and providing enterprise-wide solutions to national security challenges. This position offers the opportunity to dive into complex and rewarding work with high visibility US and Australian sponsors by supporting our project teams that build and improve solutions at the forefront of national security. The administrator proactively engages with the Department Manager, Chief Engineer, Group Leaders and Project Leaders and the MITRE Australia leadership team to support various requirements across the department and site, promote best practices, and coordinate outreach and engagement with sponsors. Successful candidates will bring a strong background in planning, communications, and a familiarity with business operations. Successful candidates require demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral/written), interpret/apply policies, monitor time reports, maintain records accurately and reliably, organize and prioritize Department Manager’s & MITRE Australia leadership schedules, work independently, take initiative, exercise good judgement, track deadlines, schedule meetings and department activities, coordinate formal correspondence, and support staff, department, division, and MITRE Australia meetings. The candidate needs to be adaptable and agile, working side-by-side with MITRE staff, members from the Intelligence Community, and the MITRE Australia team, and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in a friendly, professional manner.
