Responsibilities
Manage the Marketing and Purchasing Departments. Interview, hire, and train new employees and determine proper staffing levels. Evaluate employee performance, complete annual performance appraisals, set expectations, goals and action items for employees as needed . Coach and counsel employees as needed. Participate in the discipline and termination process as needed. Track and monitor attendance. Schedule and monitor vacation time for employees to ensure adequate coverage for the department. Promote a positive work environment that continuously enables development and motivation of all employees. Responsible for all Stock Inventory levels to match sales volumes. Inventory Management to determine discontinuation of slow moving inventory. Match branch inventory levels and branch sales levels. Maintain strong vendor relations. Set an example for all employees when carrying out every duty, function or interpersonal contact. Promote two-way communication by keeping employees informed and soliciting their comments and suggestions. Encourage employees to think and act beyond their immediate job function and to comprehend how their job affects others both upstream and downstream. Responsible for BROSCO branding of all forms from Book of Designs, catalogs, ads, digital platforms, Company vehicles and other marketing collateral. Coordinate list price, discounts, generic bulletins, special bulletins, and personalized bulletins for all product categories and maintain consistency throughout the channel. Assure price catalog and net bulletins are accurately priced through BROSCO Xpress and Agility. Regularly update pricing based on market conditions from cost increases to competitive price reviews. Assure BROSCO branded material is easy to access, accurate, and consistent throughout all digital platforms (BROSCO website, social media, Xpress, CRM, and intranet). Create and maintain all BROSCO ads, sell sheets, catalogs, Book of Designs, truck graphics and all other BROSCO marketing collateral. Assure all product information is available and accurate for descriptions, price, cost, vendors, vendor part numbers, buyer numbers, product groups, price codes, and technical data information. Assure configurator is up to date and consistent (pricing, specs, compatibility and performance). Work with sales to determine new products, promotions and other sales initiatives. Launch new vendor/product line/products for BROSCO sales and customers by setting up Agility, pricing, promotions catalogs, sell sheets, ads, displays, email, websites, XPress, and social media campaigns. Be main point of contact with vendors to distribute updated product information to BROSCO and customers. Generate monthly profit and loss statements. Attend Home Shows, Dealer Contractor Meetings, Product Knowledge Workshops (PKW), and other product and training events as required. Provide onsite support for our associates in our New England locations.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four (4) year college or technical school or six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and or training.
Other basic qualifications include:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to calculate rough openings and unit dimensions using fractions and/or decimals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions. Ability to read and convert feet and inches and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability and willingness to learn new programs as required. Intermediate/strong Microsoft Office knowledge. Ability to type, navigate the internet, use email and spreadsheet software. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress, CRM, Binformed, and FlippingBook. Ability to work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications: Ability to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently or with teams or groups. Knowledge of operation of office equipment, such as PC, calculators, computer software, etc.
