**Job Summary:**
**Key Responsibilities / Duties:**
+ Data collection and management of a departmental prospective database.
+ Perform relevant literature reviews as needed.
+ Preparation, writing, and submission of manuscripts and abstracts.
+ Provide a wide range of support in research administration, IRB management, grant proposal, and publication tracking
+ Manage, organize, and collect data for multi-center research studies
+ Organize and present during journal clubs, MSK Oncology Clinical and Translational Research Meetings, and at various other conferences

**Qualifications:**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in any field
+ A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in science or health related field
+ Clinical research or related experience
+ Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems)
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
+ Sound written and oral communication skills.
+ Detail-oriented and very organized; able to self-manage
+ Ability to work within teams and maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks.
+ Able to work independently as well as within a team
+ Demonstrates sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions.
+ Displays a positive presence and interacts professionally with all levels of staff, outside collaborators, surgeons, and patients.

The department has a robust research infrastructure and offers extensive opportunities to learn the basics of high-quality clinical and translational research and participate in cutting-edge projects/publications. Our research aims to advance the field of musculoskeletal oncology with technological advances and discoveries..Our research team seeks a highly motivated medical student, researcher, or medical professional to apply for a year-long research fellowship in our program. This position will offer a vast array of research and educational opportunities: retrospective/prospective studies, randomized controlled clinical trials, multi-center trials, basic science research, journal clubs, labs, etc. Previous fellows in orthopaedic surgery have been very successful in producing many posters, presentations, and manuscripts being accepted in regional, national, and international meetings/journals during their fellowship. If desired, there are also many opportunities for experience in the clinic, operating room, and with the CU orthopedic surgery residency (but not required).This position's appointment has a limited duration of one (1) year from date of hire.
- this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of some days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. The exact work schedule will be determined by the position's supervisor.

Our research encompasses a broad array of focus areas: genetics of osteoporosis & scoliosis, bone biology, arthritis & joint biology, skeletal healing from the spine to limbs, stem cell biology & tissue engineering, growth plate injury & repair, brain injury-skeleton connections, and orthopedic pain management. We partner with an array of musculoskeletal investigators in various clinical and basic science departments across the 4 campuses of the CU system.
