Multiskilled Maintenance Technician - Water Treatment Specialist- 

Peterborough

At Veolia, we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee our large IX water treatment plant and mobile units. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our water treatment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage ongoing maintenance of Ion Exchange water treatment plantsLead and execute maintenance projectsPerform refurbishment and fabrication of equipment, including PVC and stainless-steel pipeworkWork independently and collaboratively with a team of qualified professionalsHandle 415V equipment safely and effectivelyConduct fault-finding, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation systemsPerform calibrations and loop checking of DCS/control systemsEnsure electrical systems comply with safety regulationsImplement and maintain safety protocols, including risk assessmentsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN/KAIZEN)

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificationNVQ3 in electrical-based unitsCity and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalentExperience in industrial electrical workProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong background in EHS and quality standardsFabrication and welding experience, particularly with PVC and stainless-steel

Preferred:

City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspectionExperience in the water treatment industry
