Multi-Media Design Intern (Summer 2025)
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Multi-Media Intern will support the creation and editing of engaging digital content across multiple platforms. This role primarily focuses on post-production, including video editing, basic animation, and the development of motion graphics, using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere. The intern will assist with repurposing long-form video content into short-form formats suitable for social media and marketing purposes. Additional responsibilities include content creation for paid media and Google Display Ads, and web design projects. Filming experience is a plus, but not required. CORE DUTIES: 1. Edit and reformat long-form video into short-form content for platforms such as social media and websites. 2. Create basic animations and polished motion graphics to enhance visual storytelling and communication. 3. Collaborate with the marketing strategists and account managers to develop targeted marketing videos across marketing channels. 4. Assist in post-production tasks such as: video rendering, audio optimization (de-noising, de-reverberation), basic image corrections (brightness, contrast, color balance, etc.), captioning, encoding, and distribution of final content across various platforms. 5. Design, execute, and measure social media campaigns and support metrics monitoring on videos across platforms. 6. Support web design efforts by creating multimedia elements that align with the brand’s aesthetic. 7. Organize and maintain media assets, ensuring proper file management and documentation across Promega systems (Canva, Widen, Confluence, SharePoint, Foleon). 8. Meeting notetaking and documentation. 9. Create marketing and sales templates as needed or assigned. 10. Supporting campaign project management. 11. Additional projects as needed or assigned. 12. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Pursuing a bachelor’s in multimedia design, graphic design, or communications media arts. 2. Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere proficiency. 3. Knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation principles. 4. Understanding of social media content creation, including platform-specific formats. 5. Basic web design skills, including an understanding of multimedia integration on websites. 6. MS Office Proficiency. 7. Ability to conduct online research. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Ability to work in-person at Promega’s Madison, WI location, with potential for a hybrid work schedule after initial training and onboarding. 2. Previous internship experience. 3. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite. 4. Experience with video production techniques. 5. Understanding of user experience (UX) principles in web design. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to read information from a variety of sources, including pre-printed materials and documents on screen, and communicate with others using Promega's network software. 2.
