Job Summary: **
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Specialist with comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both business analysis and quality assurance/testing practices, ensuring our mortgage operations and systems are efficient, effective, and error-free.
**Key Responsibilities: **
*Business Analysis: *
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for mortgage-related projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and other BAs, to define and prioritize business needs.
- Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to bridge identified gaps.
- Create detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements.
- Develop process maps, workflows, and business process models.
- Assist in creating user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
*Quality Assurance:*
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track defects using a defect management tool.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure solutions meet business needs and are free of defects.
- Maintain and update QA documentation, including test scripts, test data, and test results.
**Qualifications:**
*Education:*
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
*Experience:*
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Specialist in the mortgage industry.
- Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Hands-on experience with various testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, HP ALM).
- Familiarity with mortgage industry regulations, products, and processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
