MRO Storeroom Lead
**PRIMARY OBJECTIVE** **:** The primary function of the **Storeroom Lead** will monitor and assist with responsibilities in order to improve maintenance customer service, and prevent production downtime within budget boundaries. The Stores coordinates day-to-day transactions and maintains majority of technical parts availability. This position works closely with MRO supervisor and assisting in providing direction to storeroom attendants. In addition, working with the production departments, planning and scheduling, and supervisors. Must ensure a positive working attitude toward other employees; be a team player. Storeroom lead works with little supervision and utilizes the MRO Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent. Working together as a team for continuous improvement is vital to ensure the future of CertainTeed and its employees. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** + Facilitate and maintain all of the storerooms management processes and while collaboration with the MRO Supervisor and storeroom team with minimal assistance. + Assist in maintaining an orderly, stocked storeroom at all times. + Ability to manage competing priorities within the department. + Create requisitions as needed; communicate purchase order numbers to vendors when received and obtain estimated delivery date. + Conduct routine inventories and cycle counts to ensure that inventory levels in SAP and items on shelf mirror one another. + Maintain manual or computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality, or performance and inventories. + Responsible for coverage of the MRO Supervisor as necessary. + Review and process daily Stock Replenishment Orders; evaluate the maximum level and re-order point to determine stocks effectiveness. + Analyze, identify, and communicate information regarding open purchase orders utilizing out-of-network vendors; identifies, researches, and resolves problems relating to purchasing issues. + Reconcile end-of-month open invoices; contact vendors for invoices still open due to short pay or unpaid material. + Receive open action requests from Accounting or Accounts Payable to evaluate stock or non-stock; contact vendors for discrepancies, performs cycle counts and fills out MB51’s for accounting. + Ensure all parts are identified, numbered, issued, received and are inventoried in the SAP system, and are organized on the shelves in a systematic manner. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment. + Perform other duties as assigned. **KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES):-** High School Diploma or GED required. Three years of experience in MRO, Three to five years’ experience in industrial-manufacturing, including experience in industrial maintenance. Three years of experience in inventory management and one year of customer service skills (internal or external)-with a commitment to meet or exceed customer’s requirements. Kitting parts for maintenance, including transportation as required. Spare parts inventory management experience, knowledge of storeroom policies and practices, knowledge of SAP, knowledge of Sparesfinder, Knowledge of current Windows environment and applications (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication (ability to interpret, identify, and restate customer needs, present solutions, and provide information) - **PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:-** Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week as well as necessary overtime, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity for this position include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Acceptance of criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs, positive demeanor, and model change management for the business. Ability to lift 65 pounds on a continual basis and regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without assistance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk.- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.- The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear.- **ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:-** Office setting is temperature controlled. Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas.- Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene.- Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site.
