Job Title: mRNA - Associate Engineer Process Development (Drug Substance) - Vaccines

Perform experiments in support of mRNA drug substance process development such as In vitro transcription (IVT) and purification etc.
Use QbD principles to develop and improve scale down models for mRNA GMP drug substance production to support process understanding, CPP/KPP identification, and robustness studies (PAR and NOR validation) etc.
Assist with designing experiments and analyzing results with supervisor and other colleagues.
Critical thinking and analysis of data will be central to all aspects of this position.
Keep detailed records using an electronic laboratory notebook and do data entry.
Help with raw material inventory, consumables, and buffer preparation.
Use established procedures, technologies, and methodologies.
Be able to transform novel approaches into routine practice.
Assist with preparation of technical reports and presentations to clearly communicate scientific findings as needed.
Apply the 5S lean methodology in the laboratory environment. Improve productivity and lab safety.
About You
Earned Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years' experience, or Master's degree with up to 3 years' experience in Biochemistry, engineering, or related degree
Experience in large molecule drug substance development required
Experience of biologics purification using chromatography is required. Other downstream experiences, for instance enzyme reactions, mixing, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, is preferred.
Knowledge of mRNA characterization methods preferred
Capable of working in a collaborative team environment both within group and on interdisciplinary teams
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to present findings to a diverse scientific group in a clear and concise manner is necessary
