MRI Technologist
**Job Summary:** Under the direction of the Radiologist, the MRI Technologist generates high quality MRI images of the appropriate region of the human body. Follows imaging protocols as designated by request or radiologist direction. Incorporates proper patient education, screening for history, allergies and appropriate patient preparation for MRI procedures and communicates pertinent information to radiologists. Performs a variety of MRI procedures on a diverse population. Administers contrast material following protocols related to anatomical site and specific imaging criteria. Contributes to and participates in work organization and scheduling. Maintain patient confidentiality, patient comforts and care. Performs all Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures. Performs any other duties as assigned. This position may be required to float to all Diagnostic Imaging locations. **Job Requirements** : **Education** : Graduate of AMA-approved School of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology. Evidence of continuing education in the Science of Radiologic Technology. **License/Certification** : ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required. Venipuncuture license preferred. CPR certified required. **Skills/Activities:** Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written skills. CQI team experience. Basic proficiency with computer system. **Physical Requirements:** Sit: Up to 3 hours/day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.
