The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI, supervisory experience in a large hospital or Level 1 trauma center, and expertise in implant and pacemaker safety. A Magnetic Safety Officer (MSO) certification is highly desired.

\nThe Manager of Radiology Imaging helps the Director manage, plan, organize, and improve Radiology services. This position handles department orientation, teaches, coaches, and supervises staff. Ensures knowledge of the organization's vision, mission, values, and goals. Recommends and helps develop policies to comply with regulations and System philosophy. Acts as Radiology Director when needed.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nPlans, designs, implements, and maintains work processes for imaging services. Ensures timely, accurate, and cost-efficient delivery and quality of exams. Complies with System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.\nContinuously revises processes for operational improvement and efficiencies. Investigates, resolves and documents the resolution of patient complaints.\nMonitors, evaluates, and modifies staffing patterns to ensure adequate levels. Prepares and modifies work schedules to ensure coverage of all shifts. Approves paid time off, sick time, and leave of absence for assigned staff.\nInterviews, hires, counsels, and terminates personnel with Human Resources. Completes performance evaluations, rewards, and recognition. Trains new staff. Ensures all registrations and certifications are current and on file. Helps develop staff for career growth opportunities.\nPartners with the management team and staff to hold multidisciplinary meetings. This ensures timely communication and adherence to the organization's Vision, Mission, Values, and Goals.\nFacilitates goal setting for staff working in the imaging sections.\nMonitors goals, achievements and Ensures the outcome of the goals is reflected in the annual performance evaluations.\nEncourages employees to participate in Employee Satisfaction Surveys and Patient Safety surveys. Provides service feedback results to staff. Initiates a plan of action for improvement areas.\nPartners with Management to develop a department budget. Provides feedback on new and replacement equipment and services needed for growth. Monitors operational budgets and implements corrective action plans for negative productivity and expense variances.\nActs as a Radiology liaison to other departments. Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with physicians and medical departments. Gathers and exchanges information, and develops solutions to problems. Assists in developing, reviewing, revising, submitting, and implementing policies, procedures, and targets that help Department and System targets.\nEnsures the department complies with JCAHO, TDH standards, and other accrediting bodies.\nIdentify patient service needs using AIDET when talking to patients. Ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient. Establish personal rapport with potential and actual patients and others who know about the service needs.\nCoordinates and runs groups on patient safety, customer service, and performance improvement. Focuses on the environment of care, employee engagement, and physician engagement. Also works on quality improvement and inter-departmental relations. Participates in mutual governance, department, hospital, or professional organizations and committees. This includes LEAN initiatives, 5S projects, and inter-departmental committees. Engages in professional organization participation and quality control assurance with radiologists.\n\nKey Success Factors
\n\nMust stay updated on imaging trends, techniques, protocols, and procedures. Maintain skills on equipment for exams for newborns, pediatric, young adults, adults, and geriatric patients.\nAble to perform high-quality advanced imaging procedures according to exam protocol. Comply with System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. Explain the procedure to put patients at ease.\nEnsure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service.
