TITLE: Mountain School Supervisor – Operations & Training

As the Mountain School Supervisor – Operations & Training, you will oversee up to 40 employees and will be responsible for assisting with the scheduling and assignment of group and private lessons together with assisting the Training Manager facilitate training.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Operations and Training Supervisor will oversee a program, private lessons, or training for the day.Tasked with assisting instructors in creating and managing lessons. Will become familiar with all programs on offer at Snowbird.Tasked with time sensitive projects throughout the season.Maintain an understanding of day-to-day operations to be prepared for the next day, including lesson breakdowns and staffing levels.Be responsive and proactive to guests’ needs and be involved in guest recovery as needed.Proactively provides superior guest service (internal and external).Set the example and ensure all staff follows company and departmental policies & procedures.Responsible for training, scheduling and assigning work in conjunction with the training manager and other members of the management team. Handle general line-up, operations and on-snow tasks. Monitor lesson groups to ensure quality and safety.Complete daily tasks, reports, payroll.Assist in Monitoring and reporting on lesson quality for all programs.Assist in tracking training including requirements, attendance and diversity of offeringsOther assigned duties.WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
Expert Skiing/Snowboarding ability.PSIA/AASI Level 3 Certification.5 years teaching experience with 1-year Supervisory role preferred.Outstanding communication and leadership skills.Strong understanding of ski resort operations, more specifically mountain school operations.Knowledge of resort systems including Flaik, RTP, and Workday preferred.Positive, professional role model, adhering to the company's standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.Speak and write English fluently.Thorough knowledge of skier responsibility code and code of conduct for Snowbird Mountain Resort.Ability to work outside in extreme conditions.Flexible with the tasks that are assigned and with the unpredictable conditions in canyon.Have a valid State license.WORK SCHEDULE
Shifts vary, maybe early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.WORKING CONDITIONS
