Mountain School Lineup Supervisor

LOCATION:          Snowbird

STATUS:               Full-Time, Salaried, Seasonal

SCHEDULE:          Variable

Must be able to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays.

SUMMARY

As the Mountain School Line Up Supervisor, you will oversee up to 40 employees and will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including upholding and exceeding our guest service standards. Under the guidance of The Mountain School Director and Managers, you will be tasked with running lineups and helping instructors with class management. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to training staff, evaluating staff, disciplining staff, scheduling staff, talking to guests, and evaluating ability levels.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lineup Supervisor will be responsible for running an assigned program for the day.Will become familiar with all programs that we offer as this person will need to run whatever program is assigned by the manager.Will be tasked with helping instructors create classes and managing large amounts of students.Maintaining excellent guest service in stressful situations.Will be tasked with time sensitive Mountain School Projects throughout the season.Maintaining an understanding of day-to-day operations to be prepared for the next day.Responsible for making sure staffing levels are appropriate for the next day.Resolve concerns and problems to the satisfaction of the guest while protecting the Resort’s interest.Encourage and model Snowbird Mountain School’s standards and initiatives.Supervise staff and lesson activity daily.Responsible for training, scheduling, and assigning work. Handle general line-up, operations, and on-snow tasks.Monitor lesson groups to ensure quality and safety.Complete daily task, reports, payroll.Other assigned duties

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

Excellent teaching, supervisory, management, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work within a team in a flexible, changing, and variable work environment.Expert Skiing/Snowboarding ability.PSIA/AASI level 2 certification preferred.4 years teaching experience with 1-year Supervisory role preferred.Strong communication and leadership skillsStrong understanding of ski resort operations, more specifically mountain school operations.To act as a positive, professional role model, adhering to the company's standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.Speak and write English fluently.Thorough knowledge of skier responsibility code and code of conduct for Snowbird Mountain Resort.Will need to be able to work outside in extreme conditions.Must be flexible with the tasks that are assigned and with the unpredictable conditions in canyon.Familiarity with our scheduling and booking software (Flaik and RTP), and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.Have a valid State license.

 WORK SCHEDULE

Shifts vary, maybe early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.
