Tri Pointe Connect, the mortgage affiliate of Tri Pointe Homes, is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group as a Mortgage Solutions Specialist. Position Summary: Partner with homebuyers to identify credit improvement opportunities and build an individualized action plan to optimize their credit profile to best position them for financing their home purchase, potentially resulting in a reduced interest rate. Provide ongoing support to homebuyers through the implementation and completion of their action plans. Report action plan progress to Loan Officers to provide a seamless transition for the homebuyer to the loan origination process. Responsibilities: Contact homebuyers referred by Loan Officers to discuss options and benefits of improving credit score and review the credit optimization process timeline. Submit credit inquiries on homebuyer’s behalf, review credit reports and identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement. Consult with homebuyers to discuss financial and credit position and timing to optimize for financing their home purchase. Create a detailed action plan to guide homebuyers through the process of improving credit and financial position with a target date of completion. Notify the Loan Officer of the action plan details, forecasted impact on the credit score, and target completion date. Advise homebuyers on strategies to remove derogatory items and/or erroneously reported items on their credit report. Provide ongoing support to homebuyers on their action plan implementation by following up on progress, answer inquiries, revising action plans, and re-checking credit as needed. Monitor progress of all homebuyer action plans by tracking referrals, homebuyer follow-ups, action plan status and progress, and completion date. Skills:. Advanced experience in reading credit reports and identifying opportunities for improvement. Strong understanding of how credit is measured and factors impacting credit score. Demonstrated customer service skills including experience in customer engagement and interaction Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Experience with CRM platform, SalesForce preferred. Strong communication skills with ability to engage customers and team members with a high degree of professionalism Qualifications:. High School diploma/GED required Associates Degree or some post-secondary education in business administration or related field preferred 2 or more years experience in the mortgage/lending industry Experience reading and interpreting credit reports Understanding of the loan process and impact of credit on the loan and interest rate Physical Requirements: Occasional overtime, as needed Sedentary for extended periods Use of fine motor skills for tasks requiring precision (i.e. typing) Visual acuity Hearing ability
