Mortgage Loan Officer Recruiter
Mortgage Loan Officer Recruiter Willamette Valley Bank is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven MLO Recruiter to build and maintain a pipeline of high-performing mortgage loan officers to support growth. This role focuses on sourcing, engaging, and aligning talent with Mortgage Banking leadership needs. Embedded within the Mortgage Banking team, the recruiter will collaborate with hiring leaders to understand market demands. This is a high-visibility role that requires a professional who can balance independent recruiting activity with adherence to structured HR processes and policies. Some of the Key Responsibilities Include + Drive strategic sourcing efforts to attract experienced Mortgage Loan Officers within the bank’s regional footprint. + Leverage tools like LinkedIn, RETR, social media, referrals, and direct outreach to build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline. + Lead initial outreach and screening to evaluate qualifications, cultural fit, and overall alignment with team needs. + Partner closely with Mortgage Banking leaders to refine recruiting strategies and share market insights on talent trends and competitor activity. + Present qualified, vetted candidates to hiring leaders and guide them through early-stage decision-making. + Stay informed on recruitment best practices and industry trends in mortgage and financial services to support a high-performing talent strategy. + Other duties as assigned. Recruiting Scope and Boundaries + The recruiter does not negotiate or communicate compensation, employment terms, or offer details to candidates. + The recruiter does not issue or present offer letters or employment agreements. + All HR-related processes, including offer execution, pre-employment screening, and onboarding, are handled by Human Resources in coordination with business leaders. What We Offer + Competitive compensation and benefits package + A caring, stable and safe working environment + Experienced and helpful leadership Qualifications Qualifications + 3 to 5 years of recruitment, sourcing, or relationship-based sales experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within mortgage, banking, or financial services. + Strong understanding of the mortgage industry, MLO licensing, and regional market trends. + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. + Experience using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, RETR, or similar sourcing platforms. + High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously. + Professionalism, confidentiality, and a proactive, relationship-focused mindset. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with applicant tracking or CRM systems is preferred.
