Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Monitor Technician is responsible for rhythm interpretation. Assists with the clerical functions of the Unit. Fulfills departmental responsibilities according to the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Promotes a safe and supportive environment that encourages collegiality. Cares for Pediatrics (1 – 17 years) Adults (18 – 79 years) Elderly (80+ years). The position's tasks and responsibilities include: · Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias. · Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm following the Telemetry Notification policy. · Maintains telemetry supplies. · Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems. · Performs duties with full understanding of specific factors. · Orients and mentors new staff members. · Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. · Provides a safe environment for patient, visitor and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards. · Monitors SPOT (Sepsis Prevention and Optimization of Therapy) alerts **What qualifications you will need:** · BLS Healthcare Provider. New employees have up to 90 days from date of hire to obtain BLS for healthcare provider. · Graduate of Medical Assistant Program preferred. · Complete an Arrhythmia test with a passing score of 90% without missing any lethal arrhythmias TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is a 200+ bed facility serving Southern Kentucky and surrounding areas.
