PURPOSE:
Oversee and direct all that transpires in the Molding Department
RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:
To produce quality molded product in a safe, efficient, and profitable manner.To assist the plant manager in any way.To lead the department based on the Quality Vision Statement.To maximize production and minimize scrap.To identify problem areas in the department, and set in motion corrective action.To help train the molding technical staff. To hold meetings with the technical staff and the molding department as a whole.To make the Molding Department a safe place to work.To schedule the Molding Department personnel.Responsible for department manual. Maintain and enforce all company policies.Responsible for approving vacations for all molding salaried personnel.Responsible for molding efficiencies, and molding budget. Responsible for ensuring the compliance with product safety guidelines.Responsible for ensuring employees are trained and comply with the Berry Safety Absolutes.Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent.BA or BS in Business Management, Injection Molding, Plastics, is a plus.Able to supervise people.Injection Molding experience preferred.Self-starter with eagerness to learn and take initiative.Properly use and read rulers, micrometers and other measuring instruments
