The Mold Repair Craftsman is responsible for maintaining and ensuring quality and accuracy of all new, transfer, and in-process molds, mold containers, and associated components (repairs, inspections, tolerance checks). Receiving and preparing molds for transfer. Substitute for supervisor when out of office. **HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT** + Use industrial equipment (Tig welder, die grinders, pneumatic hammer, etc..) to repair, modify, or make adjustments to mold tooling. + Use precision measurement equipment for a variety of inspections on molds, mold containers, associated components, and “last tires” while using a computer and/or tablet to document and track the inspections and due dates. + Use a computer and/or tablet to search and view specifications and associated technical drawings, update mold storage locations, associations, and dates, perform mold related functions in SAP Tempo. + Prepare, photograph, and pack molds for transfers or external repair. + Troubleshoot mold related issues in curing. + Work in Cross functional team to identify improvement and repair needs. + Substitute for Mold Shop Supervisor when “out of office”. + Track consumables and notify supervisor when stock is low. **WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE** + High School diploma or GED, Associates degree preferred. + TIG welding, use various hand tools and precision measurement devices. Experience in a machine shop, body shop, or manufacturing environment with in-depth use of hand tools/power tools. + Ability to work in Business Team 1 and 2 environments. + Ability to oversee shop operations and people, in the absence of the Mold Shop Supervisor due to PTO, business travel, or other. **ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT** + Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications + Ability to TIG weld proficiently + Ability to seamlessly blend weld repairs on contoured surfaces by use of a die grinder with surface conditioning attachments + Ability to operate an overhead crane and forklift + Ability to manage time, prioritize business needs, and lead others + Willing to work on weekends and nights + Computer literate + Able to effectively communicate in oral and written form, at a technical level. + High work standards and pays attention to detail. + Effective Leadership and Adaptability. **THE ENVIRONMENT** + Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to.
