What you'll do:

Perform all required necessary preventive maintenance on injection molds and compression tooling.Must be able to operate molding machines, conveyance equipment and auxiliary equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and to affect repairsTroubleshoot and diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical malfunctions in injection and compression molds.Consult OEM manuals and prints to identify proper machine specific procedures, parts identification, pm schedules and frequency, troubleshooting, etc.Perform adjustments and setups on a variety of equipment in support of production and in accordance with company developed SWIS documents and all safety proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work area and report / correct all unsafe working conditionsRead, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection toolsCheck and maintain quality of product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product in accordance with Quality policies and procedures.Actively participate on teams and offer suggestions for improvement.Answer machine alarms as they occur and identify and address the root cause.Follow all 5S guidelines.Check and maintain quality of product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product in accordance with Quality policies and procedures.Actively participate on teams and offer suggestions for improvement.Answer machine alarms as they occur and identify and address the root cause.Follow all 5S guidelines.Strictly adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out policy.Input Maintenance work orders into the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM).Maintain a documented process for mold / tooling history and repairs completed.Perform weekly, monthly and annual preventive maintenance on all required molds, tooling and equipment.Perform root cause analysis for safety, quality, and processing issues.Suggest ways to improve the efficiency and safety of our work and environment.Comply with all company policies.Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, and outside technical support as needed.Minimizes down time by coordinating repairs with the Production Scheduler.Maintains good communications with Production and Maintenance Departments.Maintains ongoing list of projects with critical path timeline items with statuses and estimated completion dates.Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Ensures the work is completed with technical excellence, and in an efficient and cost-effective fashion.Must be able to troubleshoot and locate the source of problems (flash, shorting, contamination etc.)  by observing the operation of molds and tooling.Interact with OEM vendors to identify parts, obtain quotes, and submits requisitions to acquire repair and replacement partsManage in-house projects for Tooling using all resources effectively.Complete online training to demonstrate competencyMust be accurate and trustworthy with a positive attitude that embraces change and continuous improvement in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

What you'll need to have:

Technical degree preferred or equivalent technical experience (5-10 years) in an Injection or Compression molding or machining environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent personal leadership and organizational skills.Proficient computer skills to include MS Office and Microsoft Outlook.Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).Good mathematical and analytical skills.Ability to read schematics.Work from tooling prints, blueprints, and broad general instructions where details must be determined from drawings, production parts, or product drawings.Demonstrated technical ability to use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages and other basic gages to audit tools/tooling assemblies.
