The role
As a Mobile Repair Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join our team as a Mobile Repair Technician (MRT), where you will play a vital role in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing London Fire Brigades (LFB’s) assets at their operating and training locations. Your work will be carried out safely, efficiently, and with precision.
Day-to-day, you’ll visit South London Fire Brigade stations and Training sites throughout the Greater London area, and elsewhere, to maintain, adjust and repair heavy and light vehicles, components, accessories and operational equipment in a safe, proper and economical manner. You’ll also:

Essential experience of the Mobile Repair Technician:
Previous experience of good diagnostic skills and quality awareness Good level of industry knowledge / awareness and ability to read and comprehend technical instructions. Good communication skills both written and oral Proven experience as a qualified motor vehicle technician with MOT Testing Experience
Qualifications for the Mobile Repair Technician:
City and Guilds 1 and 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent NVQ levels 2 and 3 Full UK Driving Licence
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
