Verilogue’s Application Development (AppDev) Department provides the company and its clients with a reliable, scalable and secure technology infrastructure that maximizes operational efficiencies and produces rich and rewarding user experiences.  Verilogue is seeking a mobile application developer to support the design, development and deployment of mobile applications to our various users and business stakeholders.

Job Description

Primary Job Responsibilities

 

Create and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality apps.Optimize apps for performance, usability, and security.Troubleshoot and resolve app-related issues and bugs.Stay informed about the latest mobile development technologies and trends.Participate in code reviews and uplift to coding standards.Ensure apps meet App Store and Google Play Store guidelines.

 

Key Competencies

 

Experience with iOS and Android native app development and deploymentProficiency with Swift and Objective C languagesFamiliarity with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles, particularly as it pertains to mobile applicationsSkill in integrating APIs and web services into mobile applicationsExperience with implementing push notifications and in-app messagingUnderstanding of mobile app security best practices and data protectionFamiliarity with mobile app testing, debugging, and performance optimizationKnowledge of app publishing processes on both the Apple App Store and Google Play StoreExperience with cross-platform development frameworks is a plusSolid understanding of dynamic web and application architectures, including the Model, View, Controller design principleProficiency in database design principles as well as SQL skillsFamiliarity with agile software development methodologiesFamiliarity with network and server administration is a plusStrong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical field4+ years of prior software development experienceAbility to flourish in a fast-paced, small-team environment
