Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Project Kuiper’s Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States Government, including NASA, the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community and allied government customers.
We have an immediate opening for a Mission Assurance Specialist to assist with ensuring mission success for government satellite and communications programs. In this role, you will contribute to supply chain strategies and mission assurance efforts tailored to government customer needs.
This position is based in Northern Virginia area. Some travel, both domestic and internationally may be required.

The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions in a written context. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of SATCOM and global network requirement needs, Mission Assurance and U.S. Government satellite communication architecture, and related systems used for secure US and Allied government networking of SATCOM data.
Key job responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to assist in the development of a global broadband communication
system to include tailored solutions for U.S. Government customers. You will develop and take
responsibility for developing a KGS specific mission assurance approach for our government
customers. You will also work closely with the Kuiper commercial supply chain team to
develop strategies to meet government customer needs and requirements.
In this role you will:
• Support KGS’s Mission Assurance efforts with U.S. Government customers.
• Establish government compliant supply chain and mission assurance review processes.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of concern for complex and high-stakes projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality assurance processes
• Maintain a database of Kuiper and KGS specific suppliers, with associated risk factors.
• Proactively identify potential risks and recommend solutions to prevent them
• Support Mission Assurance and Supply chain discussions, ask probing questions, and work with the team to clearly document, roadmaps, scoping, schedules, and solutions to issues.
• Communicate clearly and effectively to peers and leadership on the plans, status, and critical issues.
• Demonstrate leadership and ability to navigate through complex problems, weighing various priorities and options, and managing trades studies and constraints.
• Provide visualizations, document results, and communicate them across multi- disciplinary project teams outcomes.
• Organize, direct, and execute the planning and production of activities associated with assigned mission assurance projects
• Ensure quality products and services are delivered, including scorecards, briefs, and metrics
• Conduct pre-assessment work including data gathering, research, and coordination
