As a Performance Improvement Intern you will participate in a program in mining planning and design to provide students with work experience that is relevant to their major and compliments their education. Heidelberg Materials North America, previously known as Lehigh Hanson, operates more than 450 locations with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada. **What You'll Get To Do:** + Working directly with the Continuous Improvement Manager and team to assist with the enhancement of the technical competence and operational excellence of the organization + Responsible for collaborating with our operations on improvement processes and best practices + Assist with the development of improvement opportunities through attending performance improvement visits, studying downtime events and root cause analysis, reviewing crusher health checks, etc. + Gain multi-site quarry management experience + Summer Projects vary in scope and size just as our products do.
