**Openings on 2nd/3rd shift only at this time. Once hired on, workers can bid on changing shifts.**
**Job Description**
We are seeking talented individuals to join our manufacturing facility in Wichita, KS as Millwright Mechanics. This full-time position is available for all shifts, with a primary focus on the 2nd shift. As a Millwright Mechanic, you will support production lines and facility equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, and metal fabrication tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all production and facility machinery and equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and pipe fitting systems.
+ Utilize a variety of hand tools, testers, and shop power tools.
+ Collaborate with maintenance associates, engineers, technicians, production, and supervision to resolve equipment issues and repairs.
+ Provide written documentation and reports as requested.
+ Facilitate and communicate with other supervisors to coordinate repair activities.
+ Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
+ Attend classes and seminars to update skills as required.
+ Train or instruct others on technical issues and operation of equipment as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ At least 2 years of related experience.
+ Ability to read and comprehend mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and fabrication prints, layouts, and sketches.
+ Experience operating multiple types of machinery such as lathes and drill presses.
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, sketches, diagrams, and memos.
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
+ Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Ability to convert metric system measurements.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a large manufacturing facility spread over 80 acres with multiple buildings. Candidates must be comfortable with walking a lot and being on their feet daily. The facility includes both updated and older sections. The noise level varies from quiet office settings to high production manufacturing areas requiring hearing protection. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs or more is necessary. **Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $55286.00 - $77646.00
