This position will be crossed trained and utilize a “flow to the work” concept. The successful technician will be an excellent communicator and have exceptional follow up capabilities. The technician will exhibit an ownership attitude. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantles facility related machines. Moves machinery and equipment. Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails. Constructs foundation for machines. Aligns machines and equipment. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures. Operates engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment. Performs Preventive Maintenance on Facility related equipment as assigned by supervisor. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Site Manager **Qualif** **ications:** Education Apprenticeship: or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business Experience Two to five years of experience Licenses/Certifications Valid driver’s license, Fork truck operator’s license, JLG operator’s license Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions operating and maintenance instructions, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one –on-one and small group situations of customers, clients and other employees of the organization Technical Qualifications & Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
