Our client, a big name in the FMCG space, is seeking a Millwright with 5-8 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance. This role is integral to the overall productivity and quality of our operations.
Key Duties:
Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on various machinery and equipment including grinders, slicers, packaging machines, and conveyors. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes of breakdowns, and implement timely solutions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in equipment maintenance and repair procedures. New installations, modifications, upgrades, and repairs to machinery and systems. Maintain plant and equipment in a safe and acceptable overall condition. Standby for Foreman & Operators when necessary. Implementing of 20 Keys/ HACCP/ Risk Control and apply general housekeeping rules. Qualifications:
Completion of a formal apprenticeship program in millwrighting or a related field is preferred. Additional technical training or certifications in mechanical or electrical systems is a plus. Wiremen’s license will be advantageous. PLC experience essential. Willing to work shifts and overtime. Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer literate. Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment and deadline driven.
