Overview
Hire Resolve’s client in the manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Millwright in Germiston, Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and repair of production equipment, including machinery used for slicing, packaging, cooking, and processing deli meats. Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Installation of new equipment, including setting up and calibrating new machinery and ensuring proper integration with existing systems. Regularly inspecting equipment for wear and tear, and identifying and addressing potential problems before they lead to breakdowns. Following all safety protocols and regulations, especially in a food processing environment, and ensuring that equipment is safe to operate. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work, and documenting equipment issues and solutions. Working with various systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems. Following strict hygiene standards.Requirements:
Trade Tested Millwright Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience working as a Millwright within a food processing or similar high-volume manufacturing environment. Proven experience with maintaining and repairing food processing equipment, including conveyors, packaging machinery, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring food safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and P&IDs relevant to food processing equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams. Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene procedures related to working in a food processing facility (e.g., HACCP, GMP).Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
