Reports to Mill Maintenance General Foreperson.
What you will do:
Supervise personnel within area of responsibility to ensure safe and efficient work Assign/schedule work and perform regular follow-up on work activities Perform required compliance checks, audits, area inspections and job observations Conduct lineout and safety meetings Train new personnel and complete follow up assessments This position will follow the 5-5-4 Shift, which includes nightshiftsWhat you will bring:
Technical Diploma in a Mechanical discipline or Interprovincial Journeyperson Positive Safety behavior and strong Safety Leadership Strong leadership skills to help bring accountability to your team by creating a supportive and motivating work environment Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage conflict Demonstrated ability to maintain open communications with crew, other supervisors and Leadership Problem solving, time and priority management Self-motivated and independent Ability to make and implement decisions under all conditions Excellent knowledge of Rocanville Surface operations, machinery and equipment considered an asset
