NOTICE: Pursuant to section 20 C.F.R. 656.10(d), this notice is being provided as a result of the filing of an Application for Permanent Employment Certification for the following position:
JOB TITLE: Middleware Engineer
WORK LOCATION: Position may telecommute / work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
JOB DUTIES: Provide expertise in the formulation of systems' scope and objectives for middleware administration, analysis, design, and maintenance of client/server and web applications. Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats. Design and develop computer system specifications that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's/customer's information systems architecture standards. Create or modify procedures to solve technical problems related to computer systems and programs. Install, configure, and administer Oracle Fusion Middleware stack. Support Atlassian environment including environment migrations, user analysis, tier 3 technical support, and creation of user accounts. Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, maintain, analyze, automate, secure, and recommend web and application server software and solutions. Perform, coordinate, and troubleshoot code deployments/outage response. Develop and document internal procedures, configurations, end-user documentation, informational presentations, and best practices. Collect and perform analysis on complex information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system. Prepare complex flow charts, models, and procedures. Conduct feasibility studies to design possible system solutions. Conduct complex form design and layout activities. Prepare systems specifications. Develop technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems. Perform detailed analysis and systems designs. Use of Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Application Express (APEX), Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, WebSphere, Oracle Database, Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Splunk, Nagios, Ansible, AWS, Azure, Shell Scripting, Python, WLST, Perl Scripting, F5 Load Balancer, UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years in a related occupation including Systems Analyst, Middleware Administrator, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 6 years of experience with Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Application Express, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere, Ansible, Python, Jira, Splunk, and Linux. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
SALARY: $ 147,784 / year
