Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications in order to create more efficient and economical operations for Dominion Energy and Dominion Delivery business areas. Assist on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document the major business processes associated with the business unit, conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of the business unit's processes against both industry and non-industry processes, identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety, develop business cases to support recommendations, and, monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes. Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects.
The responsibilities of a Business Process Analyst include, but are not limited to:

General departmental process monitoring, identifying process gaps/issues, as well as areas for improvement (AFI’s). Managing three-line AutoCAD document control process. Assisting in the tracking and communication of findings generated from our department with other teams. Creating, updating, and maintaining documentation and procedures, implementing workflow changes, supporting presentations and meetings through tasks such as PowerPoint development, and other meeting host duties. Serve as a new hire liaison, creating and maintaining new hire training, procedures, submitting IT and security requests as needed. Track and maintain lists of equipment assigned to department personnel. Perform other duties as requested or assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Business Process Analyst: Minimum 3 years of experience with a preferred Bachelor's Degree (Or 5+ years with an Associate's Degree, Or 7+ years with HS/GED).

Senior Business Process Analyst: Minimum 5 years of experience with a preferred Bachelor's Degree (Or 7+ years with an Associate's Degree, Or 9+ years with HS/GED).

Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively facilitate multiple projects or assignments simultaneously Experience participating in projects driving software deployments and project management tools Experience applying project management principles to lead new initiatives Ability to quickly resolve complex problems and adjust work plans with limited supervision Proficiency in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management Strong customer service orientation Demonstrates a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor
