Your Impact + Design mechanical piping and equipment for renewable and fossil power generation facilities + Prepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations + Review mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data. Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers/designers. + Ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines. + Prepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systems. + Participate in the development of PFD’s and P&ID's + Perform piping design activities including sizing, pressure drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support design. + Mentor and guide less experienced engineers. + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline. + 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial facilities + Engineer in Training Certification + Working knowledge of Microstation or Auto CAD + Working knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworx + Experience using Caesar II or AutoPipe + Experience using Thermoflow + Must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel. + Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. + Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek. + Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s Degree in Engineering. + Essential Professional Licensure/Certification + Power plant design experience + Renewable natural gas plant design experience \#LI-PR1 **About WSP** WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
