About the Role

As a Microbiology Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing to support Mars Petcare, MWC, and Food. Your work will ensure that laboratory data is accurate, reliable, and timely, playing a crucial role in consumer safety and brand protection.

You will be part of the Regional Microbiology Laboratory team, reporting directly to the Europe Microbiology Lab Operations Manager.

This position is offered as a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.

What are we looking for?HBO level education in Microbiology (preferably food or related)Experience working in a production lab environment (advantageous).Experience and knowledge of working under ISO 17025 and related standardsTechnical knowledge and expertise in the use of microbiological culture and molecular techniques.Verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English

What will be your key responsibilities?Perform micro- and molecular biological analyses including cultural methods, PCR and WGS ensuring accurate and timely results.Record and validate test results.Actively participate in lab supporting processes such as CAPA management, environmental monitoring etc.Work as a team player with open and honest communication while respecting confidentiality with any laboratory information.
