Take advantage of opportunities to build on our team-oriented culture, such as joining one of our Employee Resource Groups. + Access to our wellness and employee assistance programs. **Job Description:** **_About the Role:_** As a Microbiologist, you will be a key player in the responsibility and oversight of our QA Department processes and programs at our Dixon, IL plant, a manufacturer of quality Aseptic products. **_You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:_** + Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental samples for microbiological evaluation to assess sanitation effectiveness in production areas. + Perform, interpret, and report results of microbiological testing of ingredients and finished products. + Acquire knowledge of plant operations to support Quality and Operations in addressing food safety and quality issues. + Prepare and submit test samples for external lab analysis as required. + Assist in the production of Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) for finished goods. + Recommend improvements to procedures, standards, and equipment to enhance work efficiency and maintain product quality. + Work collaboratively with Production personnel to ensure quality parameters are met and food safety is upheld. + Assist QA Supervisors with tasks as needed and serve as Supervisor in their absence. **_Important Details:_** + This is a full-time, on-site role on First Shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts and weekends. + The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $52,000 to $78,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs.
