Summary:
Maintains the Operating Room inventory of stocked/non-stocked and related supplies on a weekly basis. Interfaces with the Materials Department Central Services and/or companies for the purchase loan and repair of equipment for the Operating Room. Assists the Perioperative Services Director Periop Materials Manager and Distribution Materials Manager with preparation and support for all OR Materials needs.

Job Responsibilities/Competency:
1. Maintains par level of supplies used in OR stock and non-stock. Communicates supply stock-outs and equipment for repair.
2. Orders supplies and equipment as needed in a cost effective manner. Evaluates substitute items for appropriateness.
3. Receives and distributes direct orders and non-inventory items
4. Monitors and stocks inventory items in all supply locations.
5. Maintains files capital equipment warrantee items repair histories and loaner equipment.
6. Prepares confidential and special reports as well as routine monthly reports for the Director or VP.
7. Conducts semi-annual inventory of OR supplies.
8. Obtains special equipment/instrumentation requested by physicians in time for the procedure.
9. Manages repair of instruments and equipment obtain loaners and if necessary notifies appropriate personnel and follows up when necessary.
10. Assists or conducts inservices on the care of maintenance and sterilization of OR equipment/instrumentation. Maintains user�s manuals for the equipment and resource information for staff reference.
11. Assists in the development of the annual Capital Equipment Request list.
12. All Equipment and Supplies related duties as directed.

High school and or/some experience with clinical equipment or supplies.
