our own identity with a unique payroll benefits performance management system service recognition programs and other common practices across the systemPosition SummaryResponsible for managing supervising and performing tasks related to Governmental Reimbursement issues for the healthcare system Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare industry that includes Medicare Cost Reporting and State OHS reporting reopeningsappeals healthcare surveys and financial reporting Additionally this position collaborates with leadership in the reimbursement regulatory operational and financial impacts of proposed operational decisionsPosition ResponsibilitiesKey Areas of Responsibility Supervises and assists in the preparation supporting workpapers and filing of annual Medicare Cost Reports ensuring strict compliance with all Medicare regulations policies procedures and guidelines Acts as point person for cost report wage index and other related audits providing supporting documentation reviewing adjustments and responding to audit findings in a timely and efficient manner Supervises and assists in the preparation and submission of State OHS annual filings including Facility Fee reporting Supervises the completion of quarterly Third Party Reserve analysis calculation and ensuring that reserve balances are in compliance with policies and procedures Serves as a resource in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid regulatorysettlement matters for the system including Medicare DSH Medicare IMEGME reimbursement and Transplant Services if applicable Providing guidance and support to hospital financial leadership Works as an effective team member to complete project assignments Performs a detailed review of the teamrsquos work to ensure quality and thoroughness Assists in training reimbursement experience including Medicare Cost Reportingmiddot Preferred Supervision of staff preferredKnowledge Skills and Ability Requirementsmiddot Knowledge of Healthcare finance requiredmiddot Advanced knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and principlesmiddot Ability to research Governmental Reimbursement topics as neededmiddot Strong verbal and written communication skillsmiddot
