Job Details:

Summary: The expectation for this position is to lead and direct a GP PS Hatchery Team to provide quality products that meet customer expectations and achieve financial and business objectives. Essential functions include:

Providing quality products to customers globally.Achieving production and financial objectives.Developing and maintaining effective communication with customers, shared services, and other hatcheries.Achieving HR and safety objectives that support hatchery facilities.Developing, evaluating, and implementing new processes and technology.Maintaining compliance with domestic and international entities regulating Cobb's business activities.Having and maintaining qualified team members.

Requirements:

Education: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional field typically acquired through four years of college resulting in a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Experience: Four or more years of poultry management-related experience.Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.Supervisory: Oversees a team including two or more direct salaried positions, one direct management support position, and approximately 20 hourly team members.Travel: Domestic travel approximately four times per year.Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment requiring showering before entering the facility and possibly multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company. No jewelry, except medical ID jewelry, may be worn on the jobsite. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds). Must follow the Company Animal Welfare Policy and Cobb Farms Hatcheries Biosecurity Standards.Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing job duties, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment: When visiting facilities, expected to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
