A Typical Day The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will have a focus on budgeting, financial forecasting, business and financial performance analysis, and variance analysis. As the FP&A Manager, a solid background in and understanding of the cash flow mechanics of mortgage instruments and derivatives and financial modeling techniques that can be applied in the valuation of such assets is required. The FP&A Manager will: Perform financial modeling processes (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning Project and model the value and performance of mortgage assets, using both third-party and internally developed tools Analyze drivers and trends in performance of such assets and in the overall mortgage universe Generate reporting regarding mortgage asset valuation, performance, and other key attributes Evaluate and analyze models, and contribute to the development of new models Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring Familiarity and background in the valuation of mortgage related assets (whole loans, MBS and / or MSRs) Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
