Job Description
The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial information required to prepare consolidated financial statements and disclosures for a portfolio of consolidated and unconsolidated shopping malls.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare consolidated financial statements and assist in the preparation of footnote disclosures for SEC filings, including quarterly earnings release and Forms 10-Q and 10-K
Work with external and internal auditors to assist in quarterly and year-end audit procedures
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements for internal reporting
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement variance analysis
Assist with monthly preparation, consolidation and analysis of forecast information
Prepare ad hoc analyses for management and internal and external auditors
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
Assist with special projects, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree
CPA certification
5 or more years' experience working in big four public accounting
5 or more years' experience with SEC reporting or five years' experience working in corporate or real estate accounting
Current knowledge of GAAP, SEC and other sources of authoritative accounting
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, staff and external firms
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be proactive, deadline focused and organized
Must have strong analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills
Experience with accounting software required; JD Edwards and Hyperion experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills required
1-year supervisory experience preferred
