Job Responsibilities:

Eagle Bend Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and driven Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and oversee the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing processes. This individual will play a pivotal role in delivering on-time and within-budget program launches that meet or exceed established business plan objectives. Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans

Who we are looking for:

10+ years’ experience requiredProject management experience in automotive product design and manufacturing preferredAutomotive component purchasing or sales abilities preferred but not required

RESPONSIBLE

Oversee the implementation, and follow-up of the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities of the Engineering department in a timely and cost-effective mannerManage Cosma Program Management Process (CPMP) by evaluating program budgets and feasibility; monitor timelines for all programs and ensure Quality System standards are maintained at each gateLead Program Managers to develop cross-functional teams to coordinate launch activities and manage ongoing engineering changes for existing customer programsLead Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and Industrial Engineers in support of both new and existing customer programs and plant layoutsProvide support to Eagle Bend’s Skilled Trades (Maintenance team and Tool & Die team) as they provide service to all manufacturing processesSupervise Continuous Improvement personnel and ensure the program meets Eagle Bend business objectives for cost-reduction and customer givebacksInterface with Vehma Engineering and design personnel during product development and program launch activitiesApply World-Class Manufacturing techniques and Continuous Improvement to Engineering functions including Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s)Support Business Development team with quoting activities in line with the Business Plan to secure Eagle Bend’s futureInterface with customers’ purchasing, quality, and engineering personnelMaintain good working relationships with Cosma sales representatives and customers’ buyers

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Design or related area of study)CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) helpfulThorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, tool & die making
