The Area Welfare and Self-Reliance manager reports to the Director for Temporal Affairs and receives strategic support from the Welfare and Self-Reliance Department. The primary responsibility is to oversee all welfare and self-reliance efforts within the Area, helping local leaders minister to those in need, achieve self-reliance, develop resources, and provide general support, as well as directing the Area humanitarian efforts according to Area priorities set by the Area Presidency and within Church guidelines.
