In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:



We are seeking a Manufacturing Support Team Member at the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) on Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA to work in the Handling and Transportation group to provide support for the handling and transportation of D5 missile motors and D5 reentry systems. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating wharf operations.

In this dynamic role you will:

• Supervise hourly personnel in the performance of reentry systems handling and transportation.
• Review, analyze, and interpret procedural documentation and production schedules.
• Interface daily with various Strategic Weapon Facility Atlantic organizations both Government and LM in the normal accomplishment of duties.

This position requires flexibility in work schedule to cover various shift times.


Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Kings Bay, GA, and will be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with procedural documentation, disciplines and schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to meet and maintain eligibility in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) and Radiological Controls Program (RADCON).
• You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, and able to obtain a Top Secret, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

No clearance is required to apply but an Interim clearance is needed prior to start.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelors degree in STEM, Business, or Project Management focus from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Experienced in leadership, ordnance handling, or transportation Operations.
• Demonstrate your ability to cultivate effective working relationships.
• Experience in D5 Ordnance handling and transportation operations.
• Ability to promote change from and optimistic point of view.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other organizations, contractors, and Navy customers.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with customers and other personnel.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proactive self-starter.
• Ability to multi-task and deal with complex priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• FBM program experience and familiarity with SWF culture.
• Experience leading others in a collective bargaining environment.
• Experience with AMOS/PRISM/IMAP programs
• Current active US Security clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
