Metrics and Reporting Specialist 

 

The opportunity

EY’s global enterprise technology group provides various enabling services (ERP, infrastructure, platforms, service desk) to assist over 300K employees in creating and delivering solutions and services to Fortune 500, privately held and government-like entities.

 

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of reporting systems that provide critical business insights. This role involves gathering data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, and developing reports that inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, proficiency in reporting tools, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders across the organization.

 

Your key responsibilities

Create data visualizations and implement decision support tools end to end using standard BI reporting tools / advanced analytical tools. creates prototypes of key data manipulations, visualizations and mathematical modeling elements, validating and refining his/her designs. Ensure smooth ETL and data flows execution, data assembly, cleansing, validation, data modelling and documentation Gather data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions. Work closely with business units to understand their reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions. Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness. Provide training and support to users on how to access and interpret reports. Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data quality and the integration of reporting systems.

To qualify for the role you must have 

8+ years of experience in any reporting and analytics functions/roles with exposure to Enterprise IT, Service Management related metrics and analysis. Advanced knowledge and in depth understanding of Machine Learning methods, supervised and unsupervised, statistical modeling, mathematical programming with good experience applying Machine Learning methods to business questions. ServiceNow Reporting with solid understanding of ServiceNow data model Good knowledge of IT Services functions and their responsibilities and strong analytical and problem-solving ability The ability to work and team effectively with business, management personnel, and diverse and geographically dispersed teams Possess innovative mindset by being open to new ideas and works comfortably with global teams   


Ideally, you’ll also have

Excellent English language skills (verbal and written),  Excellent communication, collaboration and basic project management skills Good presentation skills with ability to present material clearly and concisely Excellent awareness of different cultures and working practices across the regions Proven experience in working in, and basic management of, diverse and geographically dispersed teams

 

What we look for

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Data science or any other relevant certification is preferred Solid understanding of a range of statistical and machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as logistic regression, KNN, decision trees, SVM, CNN, etc. Solid understanding of basic applied statistics: distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, MatLab, etc. High degree of proficiency in at least one Data Visualization – D3, GGPlot, Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau (or hands on with any similar data visualization tools) SSIS + SSRS + SSAS (MS BI Tools or similar ETL tools like Informatica) and Data Modelling Experience working with Big Data and tools. ANSI SQL Queries & Performance Tuning ITIL Foundation certification is preferred

 

Secondary skills (Optional)

ServiceNow Performance Analytics reporting module is an added advantage  Exposure to SAS or similar statistical / advanced analytical tools  ServiceNow Reporting with solid understanding of ServiceNow data model is plus .NET Development Excel Macro / VBA programming, JavaScript
