Actalent is hiring a METHODS AGENT for one of our Aerospace clients located near Montreal, QC.
Description
The Method Agent will be incorporating changes to the work instructions from engineering. Transport Canada has requested the client to update their manuals due to changes in parts and suppliers for older planes in service. The current manuals are outdated because some parts and suppliers are no longer available or have changed.
•\tWrite and revise assembly instruction guides or manufacturing instruction guides for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components;
•\tInterpret, verify and approve drawings and other engineering documents;
•\tDevelop assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;
•\tDevelop necessary tools to manufacture or assemble aircraft components by taking into account established geometric tolerancing;
•\tHarmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working in close collaboration with Engineering, Parts Logistics, Quality and Production;
•\tParticipate actively in production support by coordinating problem solving with other support departments;
•\tKeep abreast of best ways to enhance assembly and manufacturing strategies and participate in research and development projects;
•\tSupport the Central Methods team during the realization of their projects;
•\tUpdate of the Methods documentation tree structure, SAP analysis, identify needs and optimize production;
•\tEliminate non-value added;
•\tEstablish the requirements for labor, tools, assembly, layout plan, ergonomics and health/safety, tools and production equipment according to the optimal methodology;
•\tParticipate in the development and optimization of processes related to the methods function;
•\tAudit certain processes to validate their proper functioning and provide certain recommendations;
•\tManage projects of short and/or medium duration and complexity.
Skills & Qualifications
•\tYou have a college or university diploma in Mechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanics Engineering, Aerospace Manufacturing or in a relevant area;
•\tYou are able to read technical drawings and have a good visualization in 3D with good analytical skills;
•\tYou have a good logical mechanical skill;
•\tYou are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
•\tYou can work with computer-based software such as Catia, AutoCad, Enovia, etc.;
•\tYou can work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP, etc.;
