We are looking for a dedicated Meter Reader to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with the public and ensuring accuracy in their work. **Accountabilities** + Accurately read meters and reset or replace as needed + Install and maintain water services, including setting and changing out meters, performing minor service repairs, and assisting with meter and register replacements + Perform leak repairs and help maintain and repair water mains, valves, fire hydrants, and service lines + Utilize PC tablets to process and complete field service orders and related documentation efficiently + Support delinquent disconnects and reconnects + Assist with water main installation, including tapping, disinfecting, testing, and connecting mains and appurtenances + Help set up safe and effective traffic control around work areas + Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment + Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership **Education and Experience** + High school diploma or equivalent required + Possess a Grade 1 Water Distribution Certificate issued by the SWRCB, or ability to obtain within 6 months + Valid driver's license and clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle + Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate and use standard software applications + Must be comfortable using tools such as the Customer Information System (CIS) program or similar platforms to complete service orders, input data, and communicate effectively + Strong ability to interact professionally with the public + Ability to work independently and collaboratively + Sharp eye for accuracy and detail + Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions **What We Offer** As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience.
