Key Responsibility: **Applying** + Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures. + Maintain productivity, quality, housekeeping, attendance and safety standards. + Perform daily metlab duties per schedule and assist advanced/senior personnel. + Clean and maintain cut-off-saw, lab equipment and lab accessories. + Cut, mount, grind and polish lab samples as required. + Identify heat treat process by microstructural examination with use of microscope. + Perform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment. + Approve steel certifications per GKN or customer specifications. + Identify all microstructures in materials commonly used by GKN before and after heat treatment. + Prepare PPAP samples and compare results with customer specifications. + Use SAP to confirm lots that are accepted and to create requisitions. + Perform basic Millipore cleanliness analysis on requested components. + Work as a team member to ensure production quality. + Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager.
