The Senior M&A Market Analyst is an important contributor to the Company’s aggressive mergers and acquisitions activities. The role’s primary responsibility is assisting with researching sourcing targets, building the internal database, and managing outreach to prospects dependent on fit with identified metrics. Additionally, the Senior M&A Market Analyst will support senior members of the M&A team in the management of outreach and touch points with prospects for operating groups in existing and/or new markets as well as preparation of sourcing updates to the executive management team during regular business reviews.
This role is remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US with the exception of travel requirements (see below).
**_Responsibilities:_**
+ Gathers and verifies information for potential targets through review of state resources, building internal database of prospects; performing market research and studies.
+ Analyzes and screens Prospect Company to determine alignment with identified metrics for outreach, leading outreach to prospects while tracking efforts in the internal database.
+ Participates in overall evaluation of proposed targets from financial and operational perspectives.
+ Manages initial conversation with company executive to determine current position on business succession while evaluating fit of the prospect with operation leadership growth goals and acquisition target metrics.
+ Collaborates with members of operations leadership to ensure understanding of current business acquisition objectives, and potential business adjacencies for expansion of service scope.
+ Assists Business Development Director in preparation of materials and outreach messaging.
+ Participates in trade association meetings and conferences as scheduled
+ Performs other related duties and activities as required.
**_Qualifications:_**

+ Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; three-to-five year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supporting the requirement to work closely and confidently with senior business leaders (both internal and external).
+ Ability to define goals and objectives, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Excellent planning and organizational system skills.
+ Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct market research and maintain database.
+ Engaging personality with solid phone presence and ability to discuss the services the company provides with ease
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with CRM database tools is a plus.
